J.Crew To Take London By Storm

American brand J.Crew is set to open its debut British store in November, the flagship will be located on Regent Street,  followed by two other openings in the city – Brompton Cross and a store just for menswear on Lambs Conduit Street.

All this buzz over the American invasion has us itching for something visual, and with this in mind J.Crew enlisted Shona Heath – Set designer and artist to give the dull plywood store some jazzing up whilst it is still in its developing stage.

 And sure enough, Heath definitely has done some major jazzing! Revealed earlier this week, we see London cab instillations..to scale, positioned high above the store in an array of beautiful colours with “J.Crew” written out in lights. Hugo Guinness is reportedly working on a similar kind of project for the Lambs Conduit Street for the menswear store. If it’s anything like Shona Heath’s work, it’s safe to say we’re on a major buzz for that unveiling also!

Without a doubt J.Crew has made their mark on London already and I’m pretty sure that they will make a big statement on the opening of each store and just in time for AW13.
